Dr. Reinold Ellingsen (57), CEO
Ellingsen has been the CEO of InvivoSense since 1998. Prior to joining InvivoSense he has been working as a researcher and research manager within SINTEF for 14 years in the fields of optical fibres and optical sensor technology. He was one of the founders of Optomed AS (InvivoSense AS since 2006) in 1998. Dr. Ellingsen gained a PhD in physical electronics from Norwegian Institute of Technology (1984) and an MSc in physical electronics from Norwegian Institute of Technology (1977). Dag Roar Hjelme (49), CTO
Dag Roar Hjelme is the Chief Technology Officer, InvivoSense, Trondheim, Norway, and an Adjoint Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. Prior to joining InvivoSense he was a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Photonics, SINTEF Electronics and Cybernetics, Trondheim, Norway, and a Staff Scientist and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Colorado, Boulder, USA. Dr. Hjelme has an extensive experience managing research and development projects on optical sensor technology, quantum optics, optical communication, semiconductor lasers, integrated optics, microwave optics, and fiber optics. He is the author and co-author of more than 30 refereed journal papers and 70 conference presentations. He is co-inventor of seven international patent applications and patents.
 
Dr. Hjelme holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, USA, and a MS in Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway. Berit Hasle Falch (42), COO
Mrs Falch joined Invivosense as senior researcher in 2000 and has been an important resource in our technology development projects. Since 2007 she has been responsible for building up our production processes and production facilities.
Dr. Falch holds a MSc and a PhD in biophysics and medical technology from the University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway.
 
Bård Skogstad (39), CFO
Mr. Skogstad has 9 years experience as management consultant at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, Ernst & Young and Idea Consulting, and 3 years experience as auditor at Arthur Andersen. His main focus has been on finance functions in public sector and smaller private companies. He is chairman of the board, Co-owner and Co-Founder of Idea Consulting. His latest position was as acting CFO at Helsebygg Midt-Norge, currently one of Norway’s largest building projects. He has also experience as CFO and later CEO at ReVolt Technology an early stage technology company.
 
In addition to this he has earlier experience as financial manager at Kystverket and Statens pensjonskasse based in Oslo. During the last 5 years he has performed consulting services for a number of companies. The consulting services has been in a number of areas, from strategy consulting to consulting within accounting.

Alf Malmberg (57), Quality and Regulatory Manager
Mr. Malmberg has 12 years experience of quality assurance and regulatory affairs in medical device business, inclusive of 2 years as a senior consultant in the Nordic countries and 10 years as VP for Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs in Carmeda AB. The focus has been in smaller companies and presents a broad experience including creation of quality managing systems for the European and US markets, implementation of the systems I the organisation, product risk management and quality auditing of a company and its suppliers. The position as also included the performing of regulatory strategies for products and compiling technical documentation for the CE-mark and FDA filing.
 
In addition to this he has earlier experience in the medical device business as project manager for 8 years at Carmeda AB and 3 years with research and development at Medicarb AB.
